Five Intangibles to Be the Best You and handle hard situations
Dr. Bill Blokkner is dedicated to making the best of every possibility thrown his way whether mentally or physically for himself and those around him. He puts his attention on how people can emotionally handle situations based on research. His belief is that people lose their own potential based upon their emotional mindset during important times in their lives. Dr. Blokkner has a doctorate in leadership and organizational development. In his book titled Achieve Beyond Expectations, Dr. Blokkner studied the thought processes of hundreds of people from all ethnicities both formally and informally. Through his education and studies, he’s developed five intangibles in which he believes impacts all human life on this earth.
- The awareness of the situation you are in and the ability to monitor and adjust.
- How to control your emotions to achieve the best results.
- Your habits and how they control behavior.
- Expectations of yourself and others. How those expectations can affect the way you perform.
- The belief you have in yourself in your ability to handle whatever situation you are facing.
As an elementary school teacher, Dr. Blokkner with his ideals of leadership and organizational development, turned a low income, academically struggling school from a poor performing school to a high achieving school in 3 years. With this ideology, he took it upon himself to train up to 75 consultants nationwide over 30 years and change the leadership as far as he could reach in. “Schools have no excuse to have students fail state exams year after year”, says Dr. Blokkner. “ People don’t pay attention to the intangibles, to implement the research effectively”.
In industry, business, sports, and education, one common is found. That is with highly effective leadership, production is at its best.
“It is the responsibility of the leader no matter what the setting to make that happen”- Dr. Blokkner
Using these five intangibles can make the impossible possible.
